Text From Source: AMOS SINGLETARY, son of Richard Singletary, & Susannah Cooke, was born about, 04 April 1651, in Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts. He was a soldier in King Philip's War in 1675/6, as was a Jonathan Dunning, who some say was Jonathan Dunham, (alias Singletary), Amos' brother. Amos married Sarah (Currier) Rogers,daughter of Samuel Currier & Mary Hardy and probably widow of Ichabod Rogers. Sarah was born abt. 1665 in Bradford, Essex Co., Massachusetts and died after 28 March 1690. In some records Amos was listed as a yeoman. He is said to have been a Representative to the Massachusetts General Assembly in 171 he wrote his will on 19 December. He died on 01 November 1724, in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts. His will is said to have been probated 25 November 1724.
