Alfred Kearny was descended from the Kearnys of Garrettstriron Estate,
Ireland. It comprised 1865 acres and the mansion was elegant and
stately. It contained 17 bedrooms. The old castle stood nearby. Alfred
Kearny attended Trinity Episcopal Church in New Orleans, LA and was
Senior Warden of the Vestry, He had a large building supply business.
Was claimed in New Orleans to be one of the outstanding citizens as
churchman, business executive and aristocrat.
