1. Sir Edward GILE (GILES) [1], [2], [3], Grandfather. Born abt 1550 in Bowden, Devonshire, England. Edward died in England abt 1635; he was 85.
Member of 3rd Parliament of King James the 1st. He was one of the patentees named in the Great Charter (3rd) dated 10 April 1620. The charter granted certain individuals land in the New Colony from Maine to Massachusetts which later became known as the Massachusetts Bay Colony. [3], [2], [1]
