Elda was Arthur Claude's 2nd wife. He had a son George Henry (Harry) by a previous marriage. During World War II Harry was a Lieutenant, in the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps, but he transferred to the British army, and was serving in the Durham Light Infantry. Shortly after D-Day, near Caen, France, he stepped on a mine and was killed on 1 August, 1944. He is interred at Hottot-Les-BaguesWar Cemetery, Calvados, France.
