Phebe is listed in the records of the Plainfield/Rahway/Woodbridge Quaker records. Plainfield and Rahway were then in Essex County and Woodbridge was in Middlesex County. The listing in these records spelled the last name as Jacson (without the k). (Also in this listing, and spelled without the 'k' is a brother Jeremy [possibly James] and her Uncle James with his wife Mary and their children.)

Because the Quaker record above references Phebe's parents, I speculate that she may have moved temporarily to Anson, NC, in Sep 1772. However, her third child, James, is said tho have been born in NJ Aug 1772. This raises some doubt as to what the record represents.
Phebe is not included in her mother's 1794 will and, therefore, presumed to be dead. Because she was married to David Vail it would seem that the following Quaker record of the death of a Phebe Jackson in 1812 is not for this Phebe Jackson Vail. So I make Phebe death to have occurred between 1791 (birth of last child) and 1794 (mother's will).
