In the name of God Amen this fourth day of january Anno 1719, I, William Oldden of piscataway in ye county of midlesex and the province of new Jersey yeoman, being weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given to God therefore Calling to mind ye uncertainty of this mortall Life, Knowing that it tis appointed for all men once to dye doe make and ordain this my Last will and testament that to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hands of almighty God that gave it and my body to ye Earth to be Desently buried at the (ye) Discration of my Executors, and as for Such worldly Estate where with it has pleased God to bless me with in this Life, I Give, Devise, and Dispose of in ye mannar and form following that is to say first, I will that all my Just depts are sattisfyed, and payed for. Conveniant time after my Deceace by my Executors hereafter named.

 

Item I Give and bequeth unto my oldest Son John all that my farm or plantation or Sittuate Lying and being upon Staune Brook in the (ye) the County of midlesex and province aforsaid together with all orcheth, medows and ymprovements to him his heirs and asigns forever.

 

Item I Give and bequeth unto my Son William all that my plantation whereon I now dwell with all ye ymprovements there unto be Longing together with all those two tracts of Land bought of John Barclay, John Matthues and Jeames Clanson Lying upon ambrose broock In ye town County and province aforsaid to him his heirs and asigns forever

 

Item I Give and bequeth unto my Son Thomas all that my tract of Land Lying upon Pessiack river bought of Abraham Chapman Excepting one hundred and fifty acers of Land, which will be Disposed of as hereafter mentioned to him and his heirs and asigns forever but In Case he should Dye under ye age of one and wenty years old Leaving no Lawful Eshew that then this tract of Land be equelly Devided between my two Sons, John and WIlliam (wiliam) for them, their heirs, and asigns forever.

 

Item I give and bequeth to Every of my Six Daughters fifty pounds a peice that is to Say So many of my Daughters as they arrive to ye age of one and twent years before my Decease to have ye Sd fifty pounds with ye Speace of one year after my Death and all ye rest to have their respective portion of fifty pounds a peice when they arive to ye age of one and twenty years or marry and in Case aney one or mor of the should dye under age Leveing no Lawfull Isshue that then their Respective portion to be Equelly devided betwen all ye rest. whereas wiliam harris, benjamine bund, simon horn my Three Sons In Law are Deted to my bonds for money Lent I will therfor that my Executors alows Each man his principal Dept as part of wifes portion, the Interest due to me theron I do hereby forgive aquit and forever Discharge, whereas I have virberally given to my Daughter anne one acer of medow now in ye possession of her husband and within ye bounds of ye Land given to my Son wiliam I will and bequeth the Land to her and her heirs for Ever but if She or her husband or Children Sell or remove frome ye place where they now Dwe.. that then this Sd. acer of medow Shall return to my Son wiliam his heirs and asigns forever.

 

Item I Give and bequeth to my Cuzzen wiliam worth, one hundred and fifty acers of Land Lying a Joyning to pasieak River it being ye river -------- of that tract of Land given to my Son Thomas to be Devided by two persons ye one chosen by my Executors and ye other Chosen ye sd worth to Devide and Sevey the Sd Land to his best advantage and not to Spoile ye tract which Sevey under ye hands of my Executors and recorded Shall be reliece from my heirs for him his heirs and asigns forever.

 

Item I Give and bequeth to my Son Wiliam my negor boy Dick and also the one-half parthof my horses, Cattell and Sheep to him his heirs and asigns forever.

 

Item I Give and bequeth to Elizabeth my Dear and well be Loved wife all ye rest and resedue of my estate for any dyring her widowhod as also ye one half part of my mentioned house and farm During her Sd. widowhod but if she alter her Condition by marage that then my Son wiliam Shall Enter into full possession of my Sd mentioned house and farm I also will that She then have one third part of my personal Estate and ye then resedue and remaining part to be Equelly Devided amongst all my Sons and Daughters then Living. Likewise Costitute make and ordain Elizabeth my wife my Sons John wiliam to be my Executors of this my last will and testament and I do hereby utterly disalow revoak and Dianul all other will or wills what soever by me made before this time Ratfying & Cofirming this an no other to be my Last will and testament.

Memorandom yt on ye 9th day of March 1719 John Leforge one of ye subscribers Evidences to ye above Instrument appeared before me John Barclay Surogat Authorized and apointed to take ye probate of wills and testaments who upon oath Deposed and benjamine Clark a Quaker who upon his solom Afirmation also that they Saw ye above william Oulden Sign; Seal, and heard him publish, pronounce and Declare ye Same to be his Last will and testament and yt.at ye same time he was of sound mind & Judgement to ye best of their Knowedg and that the also See ye other Evidence

 

Subsrcibe ye same In precence ye Sd. testator Sworn before me ye day and year above Sd. John Barclay Surogate, Memorandom that on ye day and year above Sd wiliam oulden one of the Executors In ye above Sd. Last will and testament named opened also before me and was duly swore to ye Execution thereof

 

Sworn before me ye day and year above Sd. John Barclay Surogat Letters of admininstration was accordingly Granted by his honour ye presi as above named to one of ye Executors In ye Sd last will and testament named and sealed March ye 29th 1720
