Text From Source: ... until the Civil War broke out, when he joined his fortunes with the Confederate cause, and served through the war; was promoted to the rank of captain. He was taken prisoner early in '63 and spent several months in the officers' prison at Camp Chase, Columbus. Ohio, but was finally exchanged. |
