I William Dunnam of the District and State aforesaid being weak in Body of sound Mind and Memory do make and constitute and ordain this my last Will and Testament in Manner and form following that is to say 1st My Will and desire is that all my just debts be paid by my Executors as soon after my Death as convenient. 2nd I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Judith provided she is not pregnant at this time the one third of all my Estate both real and personal provided always nevertheless if she is pregnant and is delivered of a live born child in that case I only give her the one forth part of all my Estate Together with all my stock of every kind, household, & kitchen furniture, to her and her heirs forever, and that my Estate remain altogether so long as my wife remains a widow-- or my Eldest daughter arrives to full age or maries. 3rd I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Mary Dunnam and Joseph Commander Dunnam the remaining two thirds of all my Estate both real and personal, provided my wife is not delivered of a live born child, but in case she should I give my two children above named two shares of two thirds as set forth above, and the remaining share to the child that may be born hereafter -- to them and their heirs forever., But in case either of my children should die without issue it is my will and desire that their share of the property with the Increase be divided between them of my children that then may be living to them and their heirs forever. I do hereby appoint Roberson Carloss, Executor of this my last Will and Testament investing him with full power to order and direct the same for the benefit and advantage of my Wife and children in such manner & way as he may conceive necessary revoking and annulling all Will or Wills heretoafter by me made declaring this only to be my last Will and testiment this 12th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & seventeen. Marlborough District By William Easterling, Esquire Ordinary To all to whom these presents shall come, greeting. Know ye rhat on the thirteenth day of April, which was in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen, the last will and Testament of William Dunnam, late of Marlborough District and state of South Carolina deceased, was proved, approved, and Allowed of; the said deceased having whilest he lived, and at the time of his death, divers goods, rights, and credits within the state and district aforesaid; by means where of the approbation and Allowing of his testament and the power of granting and administrate of all and singular the goods, rights and credits of the said deceased, and his Testament, any manner of way concerning, was granted and committed unto Robert Carloss, named executor in the said last will and testament, being first sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God, well and faithfully to administer and make a full and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods, rights and credits of the said deceased, and to exhibit the same into the Ordinary Officer in Marlborough District, in order to be recorded, on or before the fifteenth day of June now next ensuing and to render a just and true account calculation and reckoning thereof when there unto required. IN TESTIMONY whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the thirteenth day of April Anno Domini, one thousand eight hundred and eighteen, and in the forty second year of American Independance. State of South Carolina Marlborough District By William Easterling, Ordinary of District To EZRA COX one of the Justices assigned to keep the peace in said District. I reposing special trust and confidences in the integrety, knowledge, and circumstances of you the said EZRA COX do hereby nominate authorize and appoint you to qualify on the Holy Evangelists. WILLIAM THOMAS, JOHN BROWN, SAM'L TOWNSEND, ELI COX & WILLIAM BROWN William Dunnam late of sd District, deceased, wheresoever any of the goods and chattels of the said deceased are as do remain within the said parts and places and which shall be thereon unto them by said Robertson Carloss, and to these view and appraise all and singular the goods and chattels, ready mony only excepted of the said deceased and to make a just and perfect Inventory and appraisement there of and to return the same certified under their hand unto the said Robertson Carloss, on or before the tenth day September ------------ Given under my hand and seal this thirteenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one and in the forty second year of Amereican Independence. These are to cite and admonish all and singular kindred and creditors of the said William Dunnam and that they be and appears before me in the Court of Ordinary to be held Marlborough Court House on the second monday in November ------ to show cause if any they have, Why the said Letters of Administration should not be granted, and why the Executor ship of Benjamin Davis and Robertson A Carloss exucators of Robertson Carloss, who was Exucator of the last will and Testament of William Dunnam should not be------ and administration with the will annexed be granted said John McPhaul. Given under my hand and seal the twenty sixth day of October In the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twentynine and in the fifty fourth year of American Independence.
