Note on Husband: Jacob GOLDEN - shared note
Jacob Golden, the second son of Joseph, was a man of considerable prominence one hundred and twenty-five years ago, and resided on the south part of the original Golden tract, the house standing on the Trenton road, one mile west of the borough. Joseph, his father, bought the property 30 Dec 1734.(pg 43) Jacob was born before the family's arrival in Hopewell, either in Middletown, Monmouth, NJ, or during the family's stay in Middlebush, Somerset County.
Jacob served in the Revolutionary War. He was a Private in the Continental Army, Capt Wm Tucker's Company, 1st Regiment, Hunterdon Co., New Jersey. (pg 38)
He died in 1811, and in his will, probated September 16, 1811, leaves first a legacy to his wife, Mary, and also leaves his son, John, who was his only son by his first marriage, a small legacy, stating that he had previously received his share of the estate.
He leaves to his son, Isaac, the homestead farm and all the personal property, he to pay legacies to his sisters in the order named, viz: Ruth Barney, Frances Drake, Charity Barton, Phebe Houghton and also a granddaughter, Elizabeth Golden.
He appoints his son, Isaac, sole executor, and the witnesses to the will were his neighbors, William Jewell, AmosGolden, and Ralph Drake.

Note on Wife: Mary DRAKE - shared note
Mary Drake is named as the (second) wife of Jacob Golden in the LDS Ancestral File. I don't see that this is proven. There was a "Mary" named in Jacob's will, and she would have been his second wife, but no surname is indicated. All of the information about Mary Drake as the second wife of Jacob Golden is from the LDS File, and will need to be verified.
If Mary is, indeed a daughter of John Drake, who was the oldest son of Benjamin Drake, the son of Rev.John Drake and Rebecca Trotter, then Mary was probably born in Hopewell, Hunterdon, New Jersey. Her father, John was born there, lived near Stony Brook in Hopewell, and died there, his will being proved October 25, 1750.
