According to papers sent to me by Vera Knowlton, Jesse married twice. (Second wife not named) He lived in Greenwood, Wisconsin. Then moved to Turlock, California where he had an orange grove.

Be it remembered that on the 30th day of January AD 1890 before the undersigned C.A. Henthorn a Notary Public in and for said County, personally came Jesse Drake and Susan Drake his wife to me personally known to be the identical persons whose named and subscribed to the foregoing deed and acknowledged the instrument to be their voluntary act and deed for the purpose therein mentioned--Witness my hand and offical Seal this day and year above written.
