FLORENCE,ore- Mary Quist Gilliam, formerly of Yakima, Washington. died Aug 6 at Florence Ore.
She
was the daughter of longtime Yakima residents Carl and Ethyl Quist. After she married Jack Gilliam, they lived in Yakima for many years before moving to Bellevue and had lived in Florence since retiring
zmrs Gilliam was a member of the Presbyterian Church and had been active in the music department of the church. She was a singer in the church choir and a tempoary choir director of the Yakima First Presbterian Church and had also been choilr director in the Overland Presbyterian Church of Bellevue and the Florence Presbyterian Church.
She was an elementary music teacher in the Yakima public schools and continued teaching music after moving to Bellevue.
Survivors beside husband include a son Tom William of Spokane; a daughter, Betsy Gilliam of Carnadtion; and two grandchildren.
