WILLIAM WALLACE CARMAN- DIED Sat. Nov. 10, 1900 at Edgerton, Wisconsin. 66yrs, 9 mos. 10days. Stroke of apoplexy at work in the Stockyard with his son-in-law P.C. Brown. Funeral Services's were held at Mr. Brown's residence, in the afternoon Tuesday the 13th Rev. W.C. Whitford of Milton asst. Rev. Moore of the Congregational Church. Mr Carman became a Seventh-Day- Bapitist shortly afteer his marriage and when he move to Milton. Burial was held at the Fasset Cemetery.

Mr. Carmen, born of 12 children, Feb.. 28, 1834 Hornellside, N.Y. He later moved to Almond Allegany Co New York. His trade was a shoemaker, which he learned from his father. He married in July 4, 1852 to Mary Ann Burdick.

Saturday morning Mr. W.W.Carman was found in the stock yards in an unconsicious condition and was removed to the home of his son-in-law P.C.Brown. Dr. McChesney and Dr. Cleary were, immediataly summoned, but found him beyond the aid of medical skill and for several hours he remained unconscions, and abouth three o'clock in the afternoon death came to his relief. Apoplexy was the cause and he was suddenly stricken while working in the stock yards caring for the stock there. Funeral services were held from the home of Mr. Brown Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W.C. Whitford, of Milton assisted by Rev. Frank L. Moore of the Congregational Church of this city. Interment was made in Fassett Cemetery. At the time of his death Mr. Carman was 66 years old hale and hearty as you would wish to find a man at that age. For over twenty years he lived at Milton; He also resided in Janesville and Evansville, Wisc. but for the past few years lived with his son-in-law, Mr. P.C. Brown of this city. He leaves a son and two daughters to mourn his loss, Charles Carman of Madison, Mrs P. C. Brown of this city and Mrs Gertie Hager of Janesville.

Obituary

William Wallace Carman died Saturday afternoon, Nov. 10 1900 at Edgerton, Wis, aged 66 years 9 mos. and 10 ds. He was prostrated in the morning of that day with an instantaneous storke of apoplexy while at work in the the Stock Yard's of Mr. P.C. Brown, his son in Law. He was carried at once to the home of the latter where he has loved the fast four years and survived in a semiconscious state only six hours. He suffered a portion of that time with sever pains in his head but died quitely and peacefully. he was aware that the attack was fatal.

The funeral services were held at the residence of Mr. Brown in the afternoon of Tuesday the 13th inst.;

and were conducted by Rev. W.C. Whitford of Milton assted by Reb. Moore of the Congregational church of Edgerton. The singing was furnished by Mr. Frank Burdick, Mr. Patterson a brother in Law. of Fort Atkinson, and Mrs J.H. Huntress, a sister , of Janesville, were present besides othe relatdives neighbors and acquainatance from some distance.

Mr. Carman was born one of twelve children, Feb. 28, 1834 In Hornellside, N.Y. He spent a porsdtion of his eadrly life adt almond, Allegany Co. N.Y. where he leadrned dthe trade of a shoemaker from his fadther which he followed a considerable period of his life. He married July 4, 1852 Miss M.A. Burdick who died October 24, 1896. To them were born three children, still sirviving. viz,; Charles Carman, of Madison, Mrs. Mable Brown, wife of P.C.Brown of this city. and Mrs Gertie Hagar of Janesville. All these with their familes were in attendance at the funeral.

Soon after marriage Mr. Carman moved to Milton where he made his home about twenty years and where he and his wife joined the Seventh-day-Baptist church. Subsquently he resided a short time in Janesville and longer periods in Albion and Evansville. He was for eight years the mail carrier be tween the last named town and Edgerton. For the four years he efficiently aided Mr. Brown in the stock business, He was an industrious, reliable kindly and genial man, always winning friends, making no pesrsonal enemies whereever he lived..

CARMAN- In Edgerton Wis. Oct 24, 1895 Mary Ann the wife of W.W.Carman age 68yrs.7mos.

The immediate cause of her death was blood posining thought she suffered from illness for several Mos. She was borm im Almond, Allegany Co. N.Y. the dau. of William and Mary Ann Burdick. She was married in that village to Mr. Carman, July 4, 1849 and has since resided in that village to Mr. Carman, July 4, 1849 and has since esided most of the time in Milton, Albion and Edgerton. Wisconsin. She leaves beside her husband 3 Children and 5 grandchildren she united by Baptism with Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church, in April 3, 1858. The funeral with Milton Seventh-Day- Baptist Church, in April, 1858

The Funeral Services. were held at the home of her husband in Edgerton were conducted by Pres. W,C, Whitford, hesr pastor when she was admitted into the church. The lord gave and the Lord hath taken away.

They both are buried in Fassett cemetery, In the same plot as hagar's are all buried no head stones and one small one for the Hagar. These artical's were all found in the Patterson & Carman Bible.

Mrs Wallace Carman.

Died in Edgerton, Wis, Oct. 24, 1895, Mary Ann, the wife of Wallace Carman, in the sixty0ninth year of her age. She has been an invalid for about a year, and her illness terminated in blood poisoning. She was born in Almond, Alleganey Co. N.Y.,March 24 1849 and her parents were William and Mary Ann Burdick. She was marrid at that place July 4, 1849 made her home and resided most of the time since at Milton, Albion, and Evansville. She leaves, beside her husband, three children, a son who residing in Madison and two daughters the elder, Mrs Pen Brown, of Edgerton and the younger residing with her father . Five grandchilddren mourn her loss. the funeral services were held last friday afternnoon at the home of Mr Carman, and were conducted by Pres. W.C. Whitford, of Milton College. The body was interred in the cemetery near edgerton/
