William was overseer of the poor in 1742. He was named in the will of his father, Benjamin.
"William of Hopewell, a laborer, died 1752, leaving a WILL dated 14 March, proved 6 April 1752 (Arch. Vol. 32 p 98). The will mentions son, William, under-age; wife Susannah. Executors: wife and brother-in-law Richard Evans. Witnesses: Benjamin Drake, Daniel Drake, (certainly brothers) and Edward Cooper."
